Pilot Program
For Ports
Port and terminal authorities carry exposure to EV thermal events on their landside footprint — vehicle yards holding EVs awaiting loading, gate-side processing of inbound EV cargo, and post-incident response for vessels at the berth. RoRoSafe is deployable on port land as well as on vessels.
Port-side applications
- Gate-side thermal screening of EVs before they enter the yard or load aboard.
- Continuous monitoring of EV staging areas under the same per-vehicle grid pattern used on board.
- Berthside coordination: a vessel arriving with an instrumented deck shares its voyage telemetry with port emergency response.
- Post-incident forensics for events occurring on terminal land or alongside.
Relevance to Singapore and the regional hub ports
The maritime EV trade is concentrated in a small number of hub ports across South-East Asia, North Asia, and Northern Europe. The Asia-Pacific hub network — Singapore, Klang, Laem Chabang, Yokohama, Shanghai — handles a disproportionate share of EV throughput on Asia-to-Europe and Asia-to-Australia routes. We are actively interested in port-authority engagements in this region.
What a port-side pilot looks like
- A defined zone of the EV staging yard instrumented with the same sensor cells used on board.
- Integration with the terminal operating system for vehicle identification and dwell time.
- A dashboard view available to the terminal duty manager and to vessel safety officers berthing the next call.
- A joint review at twelve weeks, covering detection events, false-positive rate, and integration friction.
