Lloyd's Syndicate Evaluation — Detection Grid Against Underwriting Criteria
A Lloyd's hull syndicate engaged us to evaluate whether the per-vehicle telemetry would support a premium-band adjustment. Eight-week independent assessment.
A Lloyd's hull syndicate engaged us to perform an independent evaluation: would the per-vehicle thermal telemetry, combined with retention and audit, support a premium-band reduction for vessels carrying the system? Eight weeks, three evaluators, full read-only access to a bench rig and a single-deck deployment.
Evaluation criteria
- Detection performance under three classified abuse profiles.
- Data integrity — telemetry retention, time-sync, tamper evidence.
- Behaviour under partial network damage (a syndicate-specific concern).
- False-positive rate against a six-month historical replay.
Outcome
The syndicate accepted the evidence package and adjusted the premium band for the operator's 14 in-service vessels carrying the system. The decision was binding only on this syndicate, but the methodology now informs how the operator will present the layer to other markets.
